What about Patreon.com? Steam is meag bitchy in my country because everything is oh so unacceptable bla bla... but on Patreon.com i can get content that steam says i cant so maybe you could try that? i wanna see more of Flavors of Desire =)
you could (if ur in for the money) make dev logs visible to all even non-subscribers but for images we may need tier 1 subscription for idk 1€ per month? and for game download links tier 2 or tier 3 for 5€ or maybe 8€ per month

There's still an issue because my jurisdiction determined that "donation" in exchange for content is a direct sale and that's a whole can of worms where I live. Steam makes it easy because they're the actual seller with a clear contract.
I don't want to promote it, but there's a certain website that has my games downloadable without my input - piracy. Feel free to look it up, it's already there and I can't do anything about it :P Flavors of Desires most likely will also end up pirated soon after release.

Sadly, no. Itch doesn't really allow NSFW sales ("technically" they do, but payment processors don't and I don't feel like risking account ban there). I won't even attempt to get on GOG, I probably won't be accepted, hearing that more known developers don't.
So unless Steam implements proper age checks to comply with local laws or there's a platform I can release on without tax and legal issues, there's no option for now.

Backgrounds are purchased stock assets. Characters sprites and illustrations are hand-drawn. The titular Core background element was made in Blender 3D with slight render overpaint and composed with a stock background image.

Itch.io requires "direct payment" in the case of adult games and that's a trouble because of convoluted local tax laws in my country.
